Paul Davis & The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

We’ve all become captivated with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge over the past month. It is always fun to see someone dump a bucket of ice water on themselves, and the fact that it’s for a good cause makes it even better.

ALS stands for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The website for the ALS Assocation says that “ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord”. The Ice Bucket Challenge began as a way to raise money and awareness for this disease. It starts with a challenge extended from one person to another to either donate a certain amount to charity that supports ALS or dump a bucket of ice water over their head. After accepting the challenge, the person then challenges another handful of people to the same choice. (The exact specifications of each challenge may vary and many donate and dump water on their heads.)

We probably don’t need to tell you that Ice Bucket Challenge videos have been a success. The ALS Association has been given over $100 million in donations from July 29 to August 29.

Paul Davis Restoration has joined in with millions of others in taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge. Many franchises have soaked their team members in ice cold water to raise ALS awareness in their local communities and nationwide.

So as you search for Ice Bucket Challenge videos in Bowling Green today, keep an eye out for Paul Davis contributions.
